Mazara’s coastlines boasts sites of natural interest as well as sandy and rocky beaches with crystal-clear water. It is just a short distance from the Egadi Islands and Pantelleria, reachable by ferry, and is a perfect starting point for visiting to the north the Stagnone di Mothia and the Riserva dello Zingaro, with its unpolluted shores, and to the south the Riserva della Foce del Belice, with its long splendid beach, and the pristine coastline of Porto Palo di Menfi. The weather and the position have made Mazara an important destination for surfing (Pozzitello), scuba diving (Banco Scerchi) and fishing.
